Brent Jackson for NC Senate

The promise of tomorrow depends upon the work of today.

Agriculture is vital to North Carolina's economic future. As a farmer, I plan to get our economy moving again by expanding agriculture and recruiting agribusiness to our region to provide well-paying jobs to eastern North Carolinians.

Welcome!

Thank you for visiting my webpage. I hope that you find the site interesting and informative.

I am both humbled and honored to represent the Republican Party in the tenth senatorial district this fall.

The elections of 2010 will shape the future of our state and nation for years to come. We citizens have been forced to endure extraordinary levels of wasteful spending, corruption, and loss of freedom by the state and federal government. This November, we can decide to send a message to those politicians by electing responsible, conservative leaders to office.

When I am elected as your state senator, I will fight to improve the lives of the people in Duplin, Lenoir, and Sampson counties. I will work to decrease the level of state spending, ease the regulatory burden on small businesses and farmers, and promote progress and prosperity in North Carolina.

I will speak out against and work to eliminate wasteful government spending and work towards a better tax system that is easy to understand and fair to all citizens.

I will work to ease the regulatory burden on North Carolina growers, push for fair food safety regulations, and help ensure that agriculture is not slighted in expected state legislation on water rights.

I will demand accountability from our state agencies and insist they remember it is our citizens–the taxpayers–who pay the state’s bills.

I am embarrassed by the corruption and inefficiency that seeps from some in Raleigh. I have zero-tolerance for abuses of power and violations, whether they are from the left or right side of the aisle.

I am a proud conservative. By the votes that I hope to cast, I will show my conservatism and fierce allegiance to the great folks of this district and state.

I support educating our population to reach their potential. I support the freedom to choose what educational setting best meets those needs. I believe in keeping our word, and our commitment to education. It is unfair to our children when funds granted to education are moved around to make a unworkable budget balance.

When serving in the Senate, I will always listen to my fellow citizens and do what I think is in the best interest of the people of Duplin, Lenoir, and Sampson Counties. I humbly ask for your vote on November 2, 2010!

May God bless,

Brent
